Product Care
Product Care
- Proper Knocking-In – Always knock-in your bat before use (about 6–8 hours with a mallet or old ball) to compress the fibers and prevent cracks.
- Regular Oiling – Lightly oil the bat’s face and edges (avoid the splice and stickers) with raw linseed oil 2–3 times a year to maintain moisture balance.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture & Heat – Never expose your bat to water, damp ground, or extreme heat (like leaving it in a car). Both can weaken or crack the willow.
- Use Protective Covers – Apply an anti-scuff sheet, edge tape, or fiber sheet for extra protection against cracks and surface damage.
- Rest Between Matches – Don’t overuse the bat continuously. Rotate bats if possible and allow the willow to "rest," especially after heavy usage in leather-ball matches.
